About
We're tired of guessing your ATAR. So are you.
AtarMate started in a Melbourne kitchen in late 2025 — three recent VCE graduates and a half-built spreadsheet that "almost-worked" for predicting ATARs. We rebuilt it as a real app because every other tool we tried was either out-of-date, wrong, or buried behind a paywall.
What we're trying to do
Make the math layer of the VCE — scaling, study scores, the ATAR aggregate — completely transparent and free for every Victorian student. Then build the smallest possible interface on top so you can act on that data without it eating your evenings.
What we believe
- Accuracy over polish. We'd rather show you a number with a confidence range than a shiny chart that's slightly wrong.
- Privacy is non-negotiable. Your scores are yours. We never sell student data, and we never will. Read the full privacy policy.
- No paywalls on the basics. The calculator, the SAC tracker, the scaling tables — all free, forever. We'll only ever charge for things that genuinely cost us money to run.
- Built for phones. You're going to use this between classes on a cracked screen. It has to work there first, and on a laptop second.
